How does Arizona calculate registration fees on a archetype auto, ie a muscle car from the 70's? On newer cars it'south based on a percentage from original purchase price I believe, I can't see how that would work on a 50 year onetime car.

Anyone registered a archetype in Arizona?

Just got a historic plate for my vette.
I think information technology was $50 full to switch it from a regular plate
Even the regular was only nearly $35 a yr
They calculated information technology equally a 1976 chevy. Nothing exotic
They fifty-fifty gave me a plate to lucifer the yr. Nice people here at the MVD

You accept a 77?

When I did my '39, transfer, tags and copper plates were 84$. That was before the new BS increment, and then total may be a bit more than now. When I did mine, I used Footeworks, so in that location was a surcharge of 14$...was easier, they allow me go on the original 1939 pink, just wrote void on the back. I don't think MVD would have.

Specialty plate I believe are $25 a year extra each year. I call up you'll probably stop up paying almost $75 a year with a specialty plate thanks to the new yearly DPS $32 surcharge.

Vehicles requiring emission testing every 2 years in Phoenix include: Model year 1981 and newer vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) less than 8,500 lbs. Phoenix vehicles requiring emission testing every year include: Vehicles manufactured betwixt 1967 and 1980.

Yeah they wanted smog when I first got my 68 from Tennessee..
And so I used my buddies Yuma accost..

This below is if yous ain vehicle already..
The tax is based on an assessed value of 60% of the manufacturer's base retail cost, reduced by 16.25% for each year since the vehicle was starting time registered in Arizona . The charge per unit is $2.80 for new vehicles and $ii.89 for used vehicles , for each $100 of assessed value....

If you did non pay taxes on what country you bought car this is what AZ volition go by..
the sales tax for cars is 5.6%, but some counties charge an additional 0.7%. Some cities tin can charge up to ii.5% on summit of that. The other taxes specific to Arizona are the Championship tax of $4, the Plate Transfer tax of $12 and the registration tax of between $8 and $120.

The next twelvemonth when I did renewal i
Paid $39 for 5 years with regular plate... This twelvemonth i have to pay the $32 rubber fee plus tags.....
Promise that explains it

Az doesnt take back penalties. If its non registered its merely not registered.

They used to, equal to three or iv years worth of registration fees. The state assumes yous are driving a vehicle without registration unless you notify them it is inoperable.

My understanding is that smog tin be avoided on 67-fourscore vehicles if car is insured with a specific "archetype auto" policy. Given your profession @ONE-A-Day i suspect this won't be an issue.

Absolutely i have not done this personally then I don't know the details but program to build a 72 C10 truck in the side by side few months and this is a popular topic that comes up regularly among that crowd. Please go along us posted as I'll exist post-obit.
